"Felt extremely comfortable, Safe space able to share own experiences and thoughts. Really enjoyed the course thank you"
"Brilliant instructors. They were both really knowledgeable in the area of mental health, able to respond to any questions. They were warm, open and friendly, encouraging questions, discussions and interaction. The course content, structure and pacing was also good, and the videos also helped to bring the content to life. We were also given plenty of time to practice our newly acquired skills."
"I thought this course was very informative and interesting. The instructors were very knowledgeable and answered any questions that wasn’t in the course content"
"At first I was a little apprehensive the Facilitator, Helena made time to discuss my concerns privately. I am happy to have had the opportunity to take the MHFAider course; which has enlightened my knowledge of the increasing numbers of people who are affected by Mental Health issues. I am now more aware of the signs that a person may be affected; how to approach the problem and sign post as necessary. The issue of self-care was also emphasised. Helena was an excellent Facilitator. Her approach and support has enabled me to build my confidence in dealing with Mental Health issues. I will recommend Helena to any groups I am involved with."
"Helena and Catherine were excellent instructors. They were very encouraging and attentive to everyone on the course. The course was well structured to build confidence in applying the content to scenarios. I would like to do the further training thanks to the course."
"Having been made aware of and completed the MHF Aider course, the importance of mental health training is more urgent due to current societal, financial pressures increasing mental health challenges.
The facilitator helped to identify our own understanding and limitations, whilst providing a safe environment to challenge out-dated language and practices and to learn, develop skills and build confidence as to utilise the training in practice."
"The challenging content was handled with great sensitivity and clarity. The programme was well paced, and structured."
